BA 387 Boy Steven

At Macduff, Scotland 1997

Boy Steven is seen here freshly painted after a refit. This boat is a “Scalloper”, and drags metal chain nets across the seabed for shellfish. Scallopers rarely look as smart as this – the hull and paintwork takes a beating from lifting the chains on board – hence the metal sheathing midships to protect the wooden hull

Boy Steven was built in 1982 at St. Monans, Scotland

My collection consists of all types and size of fishing boats, almost all from Europe, and includes many Scottish boats.
